As a member of Lineage Genetics, you have the right to request access to your personal health information, receive a copy of this Notice upon request, request restrictions on the use or disclosure of your health information, and revoke this authorization at any time in writing, except to the extent that action has already been taken.

We may use or disclose your health information for several purposes, including providing membership services such as genetic testing, health education, and wellness services as part of your PMA membership. Additionally, we may use your information for internal operations, to improve our services, conduct research, and support member care. You may also authorize the release of your health information to third parties, such as healthcare practitioners or other PMAs, with your consent. Although Lineage Genetics operates within a private membership framework, in the event of a lawful order or legal requirement, we may be obligated to disclose limited health information.

To ensure the confidentiality and security of your health information, we implement strict measures such as secure storage of member records, limited access to authorized personnel, and encryption to prevent unauthorized access.

LINEAGE GENETICS operates from a private sector, a unique legal structure that allows us to offer personalized services, genetic testing, and educational resources within a private framework. As part of this private sector model, we are not subject to certain public laws or regulations, but instead function under the protections of private contract law. This means that our members voluntarily join our association and agree to participate in our services and offerings.

In this private sector model, members’ rights to privacy and confidentiality are paramount. We provide an exclusive, member-driven experience where genetic information and services are shared for educational purposes. While we serve from a private sector, we offer the highest quality results from evidence-based systems and trusted partners. Our testing is conducted in a CLIA-certified laboratory (CLIA #18D2183496), ensuring that we meet the strict standards for laboratory testing and result accuracy.

CLIA-certified refers to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), a set of regulations set forth by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to ensure that laboratories perform accurate and reliable tests. Being CLIA certified means that our laboratory adheres to rigorous quality control standards, ensuring the highest level of precision
and consistency in genetic testing.

Membership is required to access our tests and services; however, it is complimentary to join. As a member, you will receive full access to our genetic testing, educational resources, consultations, and ongoing support—all while enjoying the legal protections and autonomy that come with being part of a private organization.
